Gramercy Park Duplex

This new couple’s first home together was a duplex apartment in a great neighborhood, but it was in need of a complete renovation. The floor plan included an 850sf terrace, which was designed to act as an extension of the apartment. After removing several interior walls and enlarging the exterior door opening, the lower level became a great room with direct access to the outdoor space. Although it required some tricky plumbing and additional co-op board approval, the new powder room brings added functionality to the lower level. A new Poggenpohl kitchen, elegant finishes and custom furnishings complete the apartment.
