A young couple with a 3,000 square foot downtown loft wished to create a space ideal for events and parties, working, artwork display, and the everyday life of raising a family. A clean expression of elements defines the space with color and texture highlighting key features. A flexible entry and foyer was created using large sliding doors, concealed by continuous metal display cabinets. A separate guest bedroom or study can be configured with varying degrees of openess to the main living area. A black lacquer wall houses various kitchen and storage functions and separates public from private spaces.
